Jasper: November 19

This week, I've been doing less & less groundwork with Jasper before stepping on. We've begun to work on Bend at the Walk, Bending Transitions, Vertical Flexion at the Standstill, & Backing briefly. Aside from the typical learning resistance, he's done quite well with these exercises thus far.

With hunters still out & about, I held off on hitting the gravel roads this week. Yesterday, we got another bath on what might be one of our last nice days.

Next week, we'll continue working on Bend at the Walk, Bending Transitions, Vertical Flexion at the Standstill, & Backing. I'll also introduce Draw to a Stop. If the weather cooperates, we'll head down the gravel road mid-week to take advantage of the warmer weather to put some miles under his feet before the chilly weather arrives.

Next week's update will be posted on Saturday.

I do my best to get these updates posted in a timely manner, but it's not uncommon for me to be outside until after dark, depending on the weather, my schedule, & who gets worked when so updates will sometimes be posted quite late in the evening. Don't be alarmed if you don't see your update right away. In rare cases, I may have to push them until the next morning, but I'll reach out & let you know if so.
