TR: July 15

This week, we spent our time outside of the arena riding the pastures & gravel roads or working on a few technical exercises up on the place once again. I also introduced the stock whip on the ground & put him in a bit with shanks. He had some trouble responding laterally in the new bit & had a tendency to want to "hide" vertically. On the plus side, his turnarounds are going much better than they had been previously. From stepping on himself so much that he would almost drop himself to the ground to finally understanding how to step around correctly, he's made a lot of progress in this area.

Next week, we'll continue riding outside while working on other exercises. I'll also introduce a rope in & out of the saddle & dragging items.

Next week's update will be posted on Friday.

I do my best to get these updates posted in a timely manner, but it's not uncommon for me to be outside until after dark, depending on the weather, my schedule, & who gets worked when so updates will sometimes be posted quite late in the evening. Don't be alarmed if you don't see your update right away. In rare cases, I may have to push them until the next morning, but I'll reach out & let you know if so.
