Another great week with Mistie!
She did well with Circle N' Circle & introduced her to Draw to Walk Transitions lightly. We've continued to work on refining our body control. Her turnaround is coming along nicely; this has been a big focus with her as she has a tendency to drift her shoulder out versus lean in on a circle & through turns. We're beginning to Yield her HQ on the circle.
She's been standing tied like she's been doing it for years.
I'm excited to have more time with her! She's going to be nice (well, even nicer than she is now 😉) & you should have no problems taking her right to the pattern.
Mistie also got introduced to my large training ball. She was pretty unconcerned about it bouncing against her & had no problem pushing it around.
I opted to spend a bit more time working on the body control exercises this week & held off on our outside riding as next week's weather looks "cooler" for some longer rides.
Next week, we'll visit the Rollback panels & we'll put some longer rides on in the pastures & walk the creek for the first time.
