Cricket: May 13

I hope you guys got some nice rain down there this week & avoided any of the severe stuff! We had around 3" total for the week, with 2.38" coming Friday/Friday night. Much needed!

I feel things have really begun to "click" for Cricket this week. She's much more level-headed & has been doing much better about bringing her energy back down after bringing it up. She stands tied much more calmly as well. You may even be able to see the difference in the relaxation in her photos.

Because we were working between the frequent rain showers & thunderstorms throughout the week, we didn't do a full-blown first saddling. Instead, we utilized the surcingle & saddle pad, which really couldn't have gone any better. Aside from moving slightly when I would tighten up the cinch, she wasn't fazed at all.

Next week, we move forward with her first saddles!

Next week's update will be posted on Saturday.

I do my best to get these updates posted in a timely manner, but it's not uncommon for me to be outside until after dark, depending on the weather, my schedule, & who gets worked when so updates will sometimes be posted quite late in the evening. Don't be alarmed if you don't see your update right away. In rare cases, I may have to push them until the next morning, but I'll reach out & let you know if so.
