I hope you're having a nice 4th of July weekend!

This week, Cricket has continued to work on Flexing, One Rein Stops (ORS), Yielding the HQ, & Cruising. I also introduced Bending at the Walk. She was a bit sticky to the right, thinking she needed to stop her feet for a ORS. She's done pretty well going to the left, but it's taken some time to show her that she can continue moving her feet while staying soft to the right. Because of this, we've held off on progressing to Bending Transitions.

Next week, we'll get Bend at the Walk a bit more solid before we move to Bending Transitions & Vertical Flexion at the Standstill.

With the heat expected on Monday & an arena that may still be too wet, we'll do another groundwork lesson.

Next week's update will be posted on Friday.

I do my best to get these updates posted in a timely manner, but it's not uncommon for me to be outside until after dark, depending on the weather, my schedule, & who gets worked when so updates will sometimes be posted quite late in the evening. Don't be alarmed if you don't see your update right away. In rare cases, I may have to push them until the next morning, but I'll reach out & let you know if so.
