This week has been a good week under saddle for TR. I've spent some time just checking & learning what he knows. We've spent a fair bit of time working on sharpening up his lateral & vertical softness. With his big thick, but short neck, he doesn't have a big range of motion & almost "bottoms out" in how much motion I can ask for when he softens. The softness within his stop & back has already improved since last week. He does have a tendency to swing his HQ to the left when backing, so we've been working on staying straight within the backup.
We're gonna have some fun over the next couple of months.
Next week, we'll continue to chip away at his lateral & vertical softness & responsiveness to my leg, & work on shaping up his body control.

Next week's update will be posted on Saturday.
I do my best to get these updates posted in a timely manner, but it's not uncommon for me to be outside until after dark, depending on the weather, my schedule, & who gets worked when so updates will sometimes be posted quite late in the evening. Don't be alarmed if you don't see your update right away. In rare cases, I may have to push them until the next morning, but I'll reach out & let you know if so.
