TR: June 3

This week, I saw a lot of improvement in TR!

We've continued to work on Shoulder In/Out, Sidepassing, the start of Two Tracking, & the start of a Turnaround, & the Cloverleaf Exercise. I've also put a lot of focus on developing his responsiveness to the outside rein. While I'm sure that Jamie had worked on the turnaround with him a bit, it was quite rusty. He has a tendency to trip over his front feet & get sucked back in the turn. I've seen a nice improvement with this throughout the week by getting those shoulders freed up further. I've continued to put a lot of focus on his shoulder control as he had a tendency to get a bit too bendy in his head & neck without the rest of his body following suit. Fixing those shoulders will/has helped that tremendously already.

This week, TR also got to move into his own larger pen. He meets me at the gate & shoves his nose into the halter before I can even get it open. Aside from his occasional undesirable stallion tendencies toward the other horses, I'm really enjoying him.

I'm really looking forward to the improvements that will come throughout the next few weeks!

Next week, we'll continue to progress & refine his shoulder control while also focusing on his ribcage & hindquarters as well.

Next week's update will be posted on Friday.

I do my best to get these updates posted in a timely manner, but it's not uncommon for me to be outside until after dark, depending on the weather, my schedule, & who gets worked when so updates will sometimes be posted quite late in the evening. Don't be alarmed if you don't see your update right away. In rare cases, I may have to push them until the next morning, but I'll reach out & let you know if so.
