This week, we continue to ride out & about while also introducing the rope & dragging the sled. I like to introduce the sled from the ground first for some horses. He was a bit concerned about the sound of the sled at first, but by the end of the session was dragging it with the rope over his back & had no problem with it around his hindquarters. I also introduced a correction bit & he's done nicely in that thus far. Today was also bath day. However, while I was waiting for the horses to dry, we got caught in quite the hail storm. We got a significant amount of hail along with .54" of rain in less than 15 minutes. Safe to say that TR handled that quite well while being hobbled to the trailer. Hence the pictures of a still somewhat wet TR.
Next week, we'll continue to work on roping, dragging, & introduce the stock whip during our early morning sessions to beat the heat. We have our Fort Robinson trip from Thursday through Sunday. So, TR will get some well-deserved rest days.

Next week's update will be posted on Wednesday.
I do my best to get these updates posted in a timely manner, but it's not uncommon for me to be outside until after dark, depending on the weather, my schedule, & who gets worked when so updates will sometimes be posted quite late in the evening. Don't be alarmed if you don't see your update right away. In rare cases, I may have to push them until the next morning, but I'll reach out & let you know if so.
