Everyone enjoyed today's warmer weather after the cold week we had.
With the cold weather & wind, we held off on doing much strenuous exercise. I did mount up to work on Slate's flexing & played with a bit of backing under saddle. I would have liked to transition into the snaffle but didn't want to introduce them to a freezing cold bit causing a poor association & potential bridling issues to overcome down the road.
With the warmer weather this week, we'll transition into the snaffle as well as really hit on their loping under saddle.
Dr. Kendal Smith was scheduled to come up Monday & Tuesday (November 14 & 15) to work on horses. Unfortunately, her pickup broke down on her way, so we've rescheduled for Wednesday, November 23rd. Hope you & your family have a great Thanksgiving!
