Slate spent the week in the twisted wire snaffle, which made such a difference! His softness & responsiveness improve drastically with Bend at the Walk & Draw to Stop! Just a slight lift of the reins is all it takes for Vertical Flexion at the Standstill. We've begun to touch on Backing again as well. Aside from struggling with softness in previous weeks, Slate has been quite laid back & has taken everything in stride thus far. We typically only need to do groundwork to give me a chance to cinch the saddle up a couple of times before mounting up. He's been fun to work with & enjoys being loved on. Both boys have been standing great for their trims as well.
