Slate: December 30

**More photos & videos to be added to this post next week when they finish downloading/uploading**

Thank goodness for warmer temperatures!

The time "off" did Slate good as he came back better than before & saddled up great. He's really gotten nice & quiet. Not phased by much at all. Catches easily & stands tied at the trailer like a gentleman.

With the snow & drifts, we were a bit limited on where we could ride this week, so we spent our time on slow work by the shed. I also introduced Slate to spurs (no issues there), Bend at a Walk, Vertical Flexion at the Standstill, & Backing. Both did really well!

Today, the horses all got cleaned up with some elbow grease. I'm happy with how they're both continuing to grow into themselves, even after the past couple of weeks of weather.

Next week, we'll work on loading/unloading with the slant trailer so that they can tag along when I give lessons at the indoor in Bloomfield on January 8th, if you're interested.

Best wishes to you & your family as we enter the New Year!

Next week's update will be posted on Friday.
