This week, Rosie continued to progress in the single-jointed shanked bit as we worked on body control up on the place, on my "obstacle course" through the trees, & riding through the pastures. This particular bit is just a stepping stone to a bit with a port. Mechanics-wise, it's not a great bit to be in long-term, but she seems to like this more than the plain snaffle.
Next week, we'll get another ride or two in this single-jointed shank bit before I introduce her to something with a port. I'm hoping we'll also be able to get a bath towards the end of the 70° weather. Due to the warmer weather, I'm pushing our formal photos to next week. The following week, there will be no update as I will be down in Texas. Normal updates will pick back up on April 21.
