The past three days have been good for Roam. He's no longer crow-hopping when first asked to lunge at the lope in either direction. We continued to work on One Rein Stops, his gas pedal, & Cruising. He hasn't had any tense moments this week & has freed up much better than that first ride in the arena. He even offered to pick up the lope on his own today. While he still requires some encouragement to stay in the lope (not uncommon at this stage), it doesn't take much effort to get into the lope. This will only continue to improve. I'm looking forward to you experiencing his smooth lope for the first time. It's a pleasure to ride! He hasn't shown any coughing (or sneezing) this week. It's definitely something I'll continue to monitor & take note of as we continue to work, though. He's also gotten some time spent standing tied after his rides, which he's been doing without issue.
Next week, we'll continue to work on One Rein Stops, his gas pedal, & Cruising. We'll also progress into the snaffle bit.

Next week's update will be posted on Thursday.
I do my best to get these updates posted in a timely manner, but it's not uncommon for me to be outside until after dark, depending on the weather, my schedule, & who gets worked when so updates will sometimes be posted quite late in the evening. Don't be alarmed if you don't see your update right away. In rare cases, I may have to push them until the next morning, but I'll reach out & let you know if so.
