This week, we had some early mornings & late evenings as we tried to avoid the worst of the heat. Thankfully the hottest days were accompanied by wind so it made things a bit more bearable in the afternoons. We've continued to work on Bend at the Walk & Bending Transitions. I also introduced Vertical Flexion at the Standstill yesterday. He was a bit resistant on the first couple of tries, which isn't uncommon. Once he understood where he received the release, he was quite quick to soften vertically. He did want to drop his head a bit. I don't mind his stretch, but also don't want him to think he can push into the bit each time, so I did bump his head back up each time he offered that behavior. He has continued to chew on the bit at times but is quiet more & more. I opted to keep him in the current bit for the duration of the week. I've got two other O-Ring bits that I'll try out on him next week, so see if he prefers one or the other more. I did receive word that the prescription for the UniPrim was approved through Valley Vet & it should arrive on Tuesday. Roam will get started on it ASAP.
Next week, we'll continue to work on Bend at the Walk, Bending Transitions, Vertical Flexion at the Standstill, & Draw to a Stop.

Next week's update will be posted on Friday.
I do my best to get these updates posted in a timely manner, but it's not uncommon for me to be outside until after dark, depending on the weather, my schedule, & who gets worked when so updates will sometimes be posted quite late in the evening. Don't be alarmed if you don't see your update right away. In rare cases, I may have to push them until the next morning, but I'll reach out & let you know if so.
