We had a good first half of the week before the rain, chilly temps, & wind arrived. Jasper's continued to do well in the round pen. We also continued to work on Desensitizing, Yielding the HQ & FQ, Backing, Flexing, Lunging Stages 1 & 2, Sending, Circle Driving, & Popping the Stirrups. His confidence continues to build as he understands what I'm asking.
On Wednesday, Jasper had his Knotty Equine Equinitry session. Jen really didn't find many things going on with Jasper, which isn't always the case! She did note that he's a bit of a tongue sucker. He does this as a way to calm himself & that he may get his tongue over the bit. I'll pay special attention & see if we can't get him to break this habit. The weather threw a wrench in our plans for Thursday & today, so we'll take conformation photos on Monday when the weather is more favorable. Dentals also got moved to next Wednesday.
Next week, we'll spend a bit more time working on our groundwork under saddle before putting his "first rides" on here when my round pen helper is available next weekend.

Next week's update will be posted on Sunday.
I do my best to get these updates posted in a timely manner, but it's not uncommon for me to be outside until after dark, depending on the weather, my schedule, & who gets worked when, so updates will sometimes be posted quite late in the evening. Don't be alarmed if you don't see your update right away. In rare cases, I may have to push them until the next morning, but I'll reach out & let you know if so.
