Jasper: March 1

On Monday, we took advantage of the 70° weather & Jasper got a bath & rebraided. Jasper did great, considering it had been 2-3 months since his last bath. Tuesday's temps dipped down below freezing again with windy & snow so everyone got a good rest day. The rest of the week, we spent some time working in the arena since it was finally dry enough to work up & ride in, as well as riding through the pastures. We went back & put a bit more focus on our shoulder control, working on Shoulder In/Out, Counterbending, & the Turnaround. He does pretty decent going to the left, but I would like to see a bit more improvement to the right. We also got to spend some time loping circles. Next week, we'll spend some time on the Circle & Circle exercise, shoulder control, hindquarter control, & maybe get back into the shanked bits before he goes home the following week. - Lexy Nuesch

Next week's update will be posted on Friday.
