Jasper: December 8

This week, we spent a majority of our time outside of the arena & putting some miles on down the gravel roads. We continue to work on Bend at the Walk, Bending Transitions, Vertical Flexion at the Standstill, Draw to a Stop, & Backing throughout our rides. I also introduced Vertical Flexion at the Walk towards the end of the week. He's still had a few looky moments when we first head out, but settles into the ride as we get going. He's crossed the lane culverts much better this week.

This weekend, we'll load up & head east. With the cool & windy weather, we'll be doing lessons in Bloomfield at the indoor arena. He'll get to experience some hauling, time spent tied at the trailer, a good ride in the indoor arena, & hanging out in a new place while we stay at my parent's place Saturday night.

Next week, we'll continue outside of the arena as we venture into the pastures more & possibly even the creek.

Next week's update will be posted on Saturday.

I do my best to get these updates posted in a timely manner, but it's not uncommon for me to be outside until after dark, depending on the weather, my schedule, & who gets worked when so updates will sometimes be posted quite late in the evening. Don't be alarmed if you don't see your update right away. In rare cases, I may have to push them until the next morning, but I'll reach out & let you know if so.
