Jasper: December 1

This week, we continued to work on Bend at the Walk, Bending Transitions, Loping Circles, Vertical Flexion at the Standstill, Draw to a Stop, & Backing in the arena. We also got to venture out down the gravel roads finally! Those rides went pretty textbook. He was pretty aware of the dogs doing their things running about & was a bit of a looky-lou with the new scenery. He was a bit worried when we first crossed the creek culverts over the lane, but that's not uncommon. He's going to be even more fun now that we're out & about.

Next week, we're looking forward to the warmer weather, with temps in the 50s & even reaching 60°. We'll spend a little bit of time in the arena working on Jasper's softness, however, we'll spend a majority of our time out & about.

Next week's update will be posted on Friday.

I do my best to get these updates posted in a timely manner, but it's not uncommon for me to be outside until after dark, depending on the weather, my schedule, & who gets worked when so updates will sometimes be posted quite late in the evening. Don't be alarmed if you don't see your update right away. In rare cases, I may have to push them until the next morning, but I'll reach out & let you know if so.
