Hero: November 19

This week, Hero has continued to make gains in the weight department. He'll likely get to rejoin his pen mates sometime this next week. He's continued to saddle great this week. He still has little jumpy moments, so I've had to show him that any quick movements on my part are no big deal. We spent some time working on Leading Beside as he can get a bit resistant when leading from time to time. Towards the end of the week, we began doing our groundwork in the snaffle bit. Some lateral resistance there, but minimal chopping on the bit.

While I REALLY wanted to get rides on several horses this weekend, yesterday's weather was just too nice to pass on getting what might be our last good bath day. This worked out well as it rained here most of the day & ideally I like to have at least 2-3 first rides in a row.

Next week, we'll do a bit more prep from the ground before we do first rides on Wednesday.

Next week's update will be posted on Saturday.

I do my best to get these updates posted in a timely manner, but it's not uncommon for me to be outside until after dark, depending on the weather, my schedule, & who gets worked when so updates will sometimes be posted quite late in the evening. Don't be alarmed if you don't see your update right away. In rare cases, I may have to push them until the next morning, but I'll reach out & let you know if so.
