Cricket: August 3

Cricket was an absolute rockstar out at Fort Robinson! It didn't take long for her to put her nose down like an old broke trail horse. She learned to place her feet over some tough & very challenging terrain, learned how to go up & down some serious hills, led & followed with no issues, & crossed water, She hauled & stalled well. I know the videos are a bit long, but if you have the time, I encourage you to watch them. Do note that the GoPro does distort & downplay just how steep some of the hills are, but after her final ride, where we took some mountain goat-like trails, I wouldn't hesitate to take her on any type of terrain. Back home this week, we've been back to working on & reviewing our maneuvers & other exercises (vertical flexion at the standstill, walk, & trot, stopping & backing, etc.). Next week, we'll continue working on those while introducing Shoulder In/Out & potentially Sidepassing. - Lexy Nuesch

Next week's update will be posted on Friday.

I do my best to get these updates posted in a timely manner, but it's not uncommon for me to be outside until after dark, depending on the weather, my schedule, & who gets worked when so updates will sometimes be posted quite late in the evening. Don't be alarmed if you don't see your update right away. In rare cases, I may have to push them until the next morning, but I'll reach out & let you know if so.
