Cody: June 23

This week, Cody has continued to work in the shank bit. I love how he's been feeling in the new set-up. While he still has some moments when he gets a bit resistant when going to the left, he's figuring it out & getting quite soft. We've been working on Down & Around, Bend at the Walk, Vertical Flexion at the Standstill, Walk, Trot, & Lope (which is much nicer in this bit), Bending with Vertical, Stopping & Backing, Shoulder In/Out, the Turnaround, Draw to Walk Transitions, & Circle N Circle (which is a great exercise that works on multiple things at once), & Neck Reining.

Next week, we'll likely continue to chip away & refine these exercises while also riding outside of the arena.

Next week's update will be posted on Saturday.

I do my best to get these updates posted in a timely manner, but it's not uncommon for me to be outside until after dark, depending on the weather, my schedule, & who gets worked when so updates will sometimes be posted quite late in the evening. Don't be alarmed if you don't see your update right away. In rare cases, I may have to push them until the next morning, but I'll reach out & let you know if so.
