I hope you guys got some nice rain down there this week & missed out on the severe stuff! We had around 3" total for the week, with 2.38" coming Friday/Friday night. Much needed!
Last weekend during our trip back to Pierce, Cactus loped some of his slowest circles for me. He also got to be a rock as we took a green client & her mare out down the gravel roads & over the bridge near my parent's place.
This week, we rode in the arena between the rain showers & thunderstorms. We've continued to work on neck reining at all gaits, lots of loping on a loose rein, stopping & backing, & have begun to ask for more hindquarter control (which is one of the last pieces of the body control puzzle).
Next week, we'll spend our time outside of the arena with all of the standing water.

Next week's update will be posted on Saturday.
I do my best to get these updates posted in a timely manner, but it's not uncommon for me to be outside until after dark, depending on the weather, my schedule, & who gets worked when so updates will sometimes be posted quite late in the evening. Don't be alarmed if you don't see your update right away. In rare cases, I may have to push them until the next morning, but I'll reach out & let you know if so.
